A few lines are enough. Leave out passwords, customer names, patient details and payment records.

Business or project Required. For example, a bakery taking orders through messages. What should get easier? Required. Tell us the task you keep repeating or checking. Who will use it? Optional. Customers, staff, students — and roughly how many. What information must you keep or take a copy of? Optional. Describe kinds of records, such as bookings or stock. Do not paste the records. What do you already use? Optional. Your current website, accounts, notebook, spreadsheet, phones or other devices. What should we keep? Where are you with timing?

First we check the fit. If discovery is needed, its scope and fee are agreed separately. Your written quote then sets the work, acceptance checks, milestones, ongoing costs and payment terms.
